This was Michael Jeter's last film performance, as he died on March 30, 2003, before he could complete his voice-over work as Smokey and Steamer. To save the film, André Sogliuzzo recorded the remaining dialogue and over most of his existing dialogue (except for Steamer) during the caribou scene.
