Narendra Bedi and Ramesh Sippy were friends and both of them were working together at G.P.Sippy's productions as assistant directors. Then Narendra Bedi got a break to direct Bandhan and Ramesh Sippy got a break to direct Andaz. Both films had Rajesh Khanna and both films were produced by G.P.Sippy's.
