When the Netflix Witcher series was first announced, the press release didn't make it clear if it was going to be live action or CGI animated, leaving many people confused. On the 25 May 2017, director Tomasz Baginski officially confirmed that it's going to be live action, stating that his experience in the animation field have taught him the disadvantages a CGI series would encounter in this case.
