This is the third time Dan Aykroyd appeared in a politically themed comedy. In My Fellow Americans (1996), he was the incumbent President. In Evolution (2001) Dan Aykroyd played the Governor of Arizona. Here, he plays one of the lobbyists who forces Marty Huggins to run for the House of Representatives.
