There was immense controversy surrounding Robert Pattinson and his physicality of the lead role. Before the film's release, Pattinson made off-hand jokes in interviews about how he didn't physically train for the role. Some people genuinely believed that he didn't work out for the film and were full of contempt toward the actor. It wasn't until the film's release that it was confirmed that the actor did, in fact, physically train for the role.
