Reunites Clint Eastwood with his Nel centro del mirino (1993) co-star John Malkovich, albeit in a different capacity. Eastwood directed this film (whereas Wolfgang Petersen had directed the other), in addition to producing and composing the score; he does not appear in this film at all.
