Cary Grant was very particular about some things on this film, according to a modern biographer of the star. Of course, he could be - because he was Cary Grant, and because he owned the main production company that produced the film. For examples, he thought the door knobs on his office set that were made with brass and inset with emerald-colored stones were too ostentatious. Filming was stopped while replacement knobs were sought. Finally, the door knobs were painted over and filming resumed. Grant also thought Doris Day's "working girl" wardrobe should not be too fancy or high class, so he suggested she wear Anne Klein (1923-1974). If Day did, Klein is uncredited in this film.
