In the film Dick Grayson appeared as Nightwing, while in the comics Tim Drake who was Robin at the time appeared instead. In addition, to help keeps things simple for the DC Universe animated films, the existence of Jason Todd and Tim Drake as the previous Robins after Dick Grayson's retirement was removed entirely and instead was changed to Damian being the only person who would replace Dick Grayson as Robin.
