In the original comic, Wonder Woman was dreaming of fighting super villains for her contingency plan; an illusion. But in the film, she doesn't have a clearly-stated plan and instead, Cyborg gets a more dynamic version: nanomachines in his brain stem affecting his auditory and visual perceptions to Vandal Savage's wishes.
