Allyn Joslyn and John Alexander were not only mutually fallen angels, they had spent the previous four years starring together on Broadway in the original production of Arsenic and Old Lace. Joslyn played Mortimer Brewster and Alexander was Teddy Brewster. The play ran for 1,444 performances, from January 10, 1941 to June 17, 1944.
