Dianne Wiest (Gina), John Mahoney (Walter) and Alison Pill (April) all appear in different roles in Season 2; Dianne Wiest as Paul Weston's therapist, and John Mahoney and Alison Pill as two of Paul's patients. Two years earlier, all three appeared together in Dan in Real Life (2007), in which Wiest and Mahoney play Pill's grandparents.
