One of the hypothermic crew members is seen wearing a covering made of one of the famous woolen striped Hudson's Bay Point Blanket. The sturdy blanket, a staple of cold weather climes, was often made into outerwear garments as further insulation against Arctic cold. It is still sold in 2022 by the Hudson's Bay Department Store chain and is an iconic symbol of Canada's history.
