Throughout the series, Joey wears Detroit-area sports merchandise and Detroit sports memorabilia can be seen hanging on his wall. Dave Coulier is from the Detroit area and is a huge fan of the Red Wings, Tigers, Pistons, and Lions. In an interview he did before the 2012 World Series he said that "Joey would pull for the Giants while Dave is pulling for the Tigers".
