Many of the background music soundtracks in "Hotel" were also used in Miriam si sveglia a mezzanotte (1983) starring David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve as two very old vampires that bleed their victims using a small knife disguised as a necklace they wear around their necks. Many of their victims come from nightclubs, much like Lady Gaga and her male partner in "Hotel". There are other similarities from The Hunger (1983) as well.
