Laurel Cronin who plays the irresponsible babysitter only appeared in two more films following this one. She had previously appeared in Steven Spielberg's Hook - Capitan Uncino (1991) as a housekeeper, and following Beethoven which was released in April 1992 she appeared in Moglie a sorpresa (1992) with Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn, and then her final film role was in Penny Marshall's big hit Ragazze vincenti (1992). She passed away six months after Beethoven opened from cancer. This film and HouseSitter were both distributed by Universal Pictures while Hook and League were both distributed by Sony.
