Assuming that it was issued at Nick's birth, which is common, that it was the latest possible year, and Nick's age is 32, those old rules would have put the year that the movie was set in as 1982. However, the Social Security Administration stopped issuing numbers that indicated date and place of issue in 2011 due to increased likelihood of identity theft. All SSNs issued since are randomized numbers, without specific reference to issuance date and location.
