RuPaul played Jan's guidance counselor, Mrs. Cummings. The character's name is perhaps a reference to original Marcia Brady Maureen McCormick's (married) last name, which is in fact Cummings. It could also be a humorous double entendre, something RuPaul is well known for. 26 years after this movie, RuPaul hosted a special, "Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch".
