Chunky Pandey kept bashing Anil Kapor in the media after Anil won a Filmfare award for Tezaab. Chunky would make snide remarks against Anil saying he and Boney were known as manipulators. Anil finally responded that Chunky was simply trying to copy Shatrughan Sinha in the early part of his career..Shatrughan use to bash Amitabh,Rajesh and Jeetendra in all his interviews. But Shatrughan had talent to back up his words.But Chunky was no Shatrughan . The problem was that Chunky was yet to fully become a solo hit star. This was despite being around for 4 years. Once Chunky would deliver a proper hit, he would tone down and stop giving bad interviews. Chunky was insecure of his position.
