This movie is not Timothy Spall's first foray into a world of magic and fantasy. He famously played Peter Pettigrew, a supporter of the dark wizard Voldemort, in the Harry Potter film franchise. In Harry Potter, Spall's character betrayed the good side and turned to evil, while in this movie, his character betrayed the dark side and became good.
