Cast and crew who worked on both the original 'Patrick' (1978) and this 2013 remake included original cast members Susan Penhaligon, Rod Mullinar, María Mercedes and Carole-Ann Aylett - who all performed cameos; producer Antony I. Ginnane and executive producer William Fayman; Grant Page, who was a stuntman on the original and the stunt co-ordinator on this remake; and Aphrodite Kondos, who did stand-by wardrobe on the original and was the costume designer on this remake. Composer Brian May's music is featured in both films whilst the late director Richard Franklin who directed the original and was also a producer is credited for the remake being inspired by 'Patrick' (1978) directed by him.
