In 2009 they began having celebrities appearing to serve as "special hosts." Some notable people that declined (due to scheduling conflicts or could not come to an agreement) to host were: Ashlee Simpson, Brittany Spears, KISS (as a band), Billy Bob Thornton, Jim Carrey, Kid Rock (had to decline due to touring obligations).
