Writer-director Steven Zaillian also wrote Schindler's List (1993), which also featured Sir Ben Kingsley. Both films were nominated for Best Cinematography at the 66th Academy Awards, with Schindler's List (1993) winning. Zaillian also won Best Adapted Screenplay for Schindler's List (1993). Laurence Fishburne was also nominated for Best Actor at that ceremony for Tina - What's Love Got to Do with It (1993).
