In this film, Caesar briefly mentions his dead daughter. Julia (c. 76 BC - 54 BC) was the only daughter of Caesar, and the only legitimate child born to any of his four marriages. Julia was married to Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus (Pompey, 106 - 48 BC) to seal a political alliance between Caesar and Pompey. Julia died in childbirth, and her unnamed infant died shortly afterwards.
