Nicole Kidman was among those considered to play the role of April O'Neil. In the original cut of the scene when Raphael exits the movie theater, he says, "Cool car. Stupid costume." in reference to Batman (1989), which was still in theaters at the time of filming. Kidman would eventually land the role of Dr. Chase Meridian in Batman Forever (1995).
