Edward mentions at the beginning of the film he skipped a lunch with Michelle Pfeiffer to be in court. Jack Nicholson, who played Edward in this film, played The Joker in Batman (1989), co-starring Michael Keaton, while Pfeiffer played Catwoman in Batman Returns (1992), also co-starring Keaton. Nicholson and Pfeiffer starred in The Witches of Eastwick (1987) and Wolf (1994).
