In the scene where Nancy falls asleep in class, the student starts to qoute a line from Hamlet, "O God, I could be bounded in a nutshell and count myself a king of infinite space, were it not that I have bad dreams." This is the start of a theme in later movies to open with quotes from early tales of horror and tragedy from authors like Poe, Nietzsche and the Bible.
