Whether intentional or not, the film shares similarities with the fan film Warrior: Predator (2019), most notably the setting and the main character who even has near identical face paint to Naru. When asked about this, the fan film's director Chris R. Notarile stated that Disney and 20th Century Fox never contacted him nor have they compensated him.
