The locomotive pulling The Muppets' train is the Bluebell Railway's No. 3 "Captain Baxter", originally built in 1877 by Fletcher Jennings. The engine's smokestack was modified into an American-style tapered smokestack, and American flags were placed on the running boards. The coaches the engine pulls are also part of the Bluebell Railway rolling stock, along with the freight train on which Fozzie, Walter, and Animal escape, and the station used to represent Dublin is on the Bluebell Railway in the village of Horsted Keynes, West Sussex.
