In Series 19, Graham Norton paid tribute to Ronnie Corbett, who had passed away on March 31, 2016 and had made three appearances on his talk show. He credits Corbett with the Red Chair segments as they were inspired by Corbett's armchair monologues in the long running The Two Ronnies (1971) sketch comedy show, which ended in 1987.
