The Clone Wars were first teased in Guerre stellari (1977) when the hologram of Princess Leia mentioned that Obi-Wan had served her father during said conflict. Fans would have to wait for twenty-five years to get a taste of the Clone Wars in this movie, and another year to see Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003).
