Dermot Mulroney plays cello in the scoring orchestra for this film, and performs a solo. Better known as an actor (Longtime Companion (1989), My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), etc.), Mulroney is also a classical cellist who occasionally plays in recording sessions for soundtracks. Since he also performed in the scoring orchestras for Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond, he has worked on both of these major science-fiction franchises.
