Malcolm McDowell would later go on to portray Mr. Roarke in a reboot of Fantasy Island (1998). The original Mr. Roarke was played by Ricardo Montalban, who also portrayed Khan in both the original series and Star Trek II - L'ira di Khan (1982). This making twice that Captain Kirk, and the Enterprise, battled an actor who portrayed Fantasy Island's overseer Mr. Roarke.
