In the scene where he beats up the Blank of the school bully, Pete grabs a branch off a tree and starts repeatedly smacking him on the back, almost identically to a famous scene performed by John Cleese in Basil e Sybil: Gourmet Night (1975). Darren Boyd, who plays the school bully, has previously played Cleese in Holy Flying Circus (2011).
