Carsten Norgaard broke a rib during the filming of his fight with Celtic at the mouth of the ice tunnel, but did not attribute the pain to a broken bone at the time. In fact, he continued working for the remainder of the day and all of the following day before realizing the nature of his injury and receiving treatment. At first, he thought that breaking a rib was the ultimate sign of dedication to stunt work, until director Paul W.S. Anderson told him that during the making of Mortal Kombat (1995), Robin Shou would sometimes break or bruise at least three ribs during a fight.
