The role of Adrianna Tomaz reviving Black Adam comes from the New 52's Justice League of Americal Issue 7.4: Black Adam. Originally after being killed during his original battle against Shazam (In the story which the events of the Shazam! (2019) film was based upon) when he was previously tricked into reverting his back to his human state by Shazam (which resulted in his death due to his original human body being century's old). However, after Shazam previously brought Black Adam's remains to Khandaq to have it buried in the main Justice League series, in that issue Adrianna used the spell to resurrect him.
