Director Mohamed Diab told Variety in March 2022 that he learned a lot about Dissociative Identity Disorder, and he thinks everyone is going to learn a lot about it through the journey of the show. Diab said: "But I still would say that, as respectful as we were, this is not an accurate depiction of DID. We are in a supernatural world and sometimes we over-dramatize stuff."
