Juliette Lewis' character Kate is a sharp contrast to her previous role Mallory Knox in Natural Born Killers (1994). In that film, Mallory came from a dysfunctional family and her father was abusive towards her, which turned her into an evil persona. But in From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), Lewis' character Kate comes from a proper family and her father is a pastor and well-mannered.
