On a 2010 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel played a clip from the film when Kimmel joked about a Southern California crime wave over the Tonight Show controversy. Leno's character was shot by a thug (actually Chris Sarandon's character) with Conan O'Brien's face mapped onto it, then Morita's character defeated the thug.
