This is the fourth time that Megatron is portrayed as the secondary villain in a film. In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), the main villain was the titular character; in Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), it was Sentinel Prime; in Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), it was Lockdown (although he doesn't have any allegiance with the Autobots or Decepticons); and in this film, it's Quintessa.
