Is said to be the inspiration for 17 year old Jacob Evans of Texas, to kill his mother and sister in October of 2012. In his written confession he claimed to have watched the movie three times the week of the murders. He also wrote "After I watched the movie I put it back in the case and threw it in the trashcan so that people wouldn't think that it influenced me in any way."
