Although V'Ger turns out to be the sixth probe of the Voyager series, in reality only two were created. Voyagers I and II were launched on September 5, 1977 and August 20, 1977 respectively and are now the two most distant human-made objects from Earth. On August 25, 2012, Voyager I became the first spacecraft to leave the Solar System and enter interstellar space.
