Bruce picking up Betty's child self and sitting her on the table in her dream mirrors the Hulk picking her up at the cabin and setting her on top of her car before the dog fight, which Ang Lee's commentary confirms. In the illustrated screenplay and Peter David's novelization, Bruce also covers Betty's mouth in her dream; the Hulk later does this to Betty when sensing the Hulk-dogs approaching. Though he doesn't notice, she struggles briefly, fearing he might strangle her.
