Despite being the breakout star of the series most of the cast and crew agreed that Michael J. Fox remained grounded and a gentleman throughout the run of the series. Fox never demanded star treatment and always deferred to the older actors in the cast. When NBC wanted to give Fox special billing in the opening he declined and remained the third billed actor for the series entire run.
