Skyfire's cartoon appearance is drastically different than his toys. The reason for this is that Jetfire was, at the time, a "borrowed" mould of a previously release toy from the rival company Bandai. To avoid unnecessary legalities, the Skyfire cartoon sketches were heavily modified (Transformers: Fire in the Sky (1984)).
