Samuel L. Jackson, Giancarlo Esposito and Leonard L. Thomas would appear together again in another couple of Spike Lee projects, 1989's Do The Right Thing and 1990's Mo' Better Blues; Esposito and Thomas would appear in 1992's Malcolm X, playing the titular character's assassins. Ossie Davis also appeared in Do The Right Thing(and in Malcolm X, doing the voice-over eulogy which he actually gave to Malcolm in 1965). Many others of the School Daze cast would appear in subsequent Spike Lee productions.
