Andy Warhol saw the film in Stockholm while having an exhibition at Moderna Muséet; he liked it a lot, but he didn't get to meet the director Vilgot Sjöman. When Sjöman was in New York to discuss the rating of the movie's screening in the US, the art critic Olle Granath brought Sjöman to the Factory at Union Square to see Warhol's film Lonesome Cowboys (1968) and to bring the two together. Not a word was uttered when Sjöman and Warhol met. Sjöman dashed away. The next day Granath made a new effort to get the two directors to meet at a restaurant, but, again, Sjöman escaped. This behavior surprised Warhol, and he asked Granath - Is he very shy.
