Danny Denzongpa was signed for Shakti Kapoor' s role and shot for it for a few days. Danny was upset with the role as he did not know it was going to be a comical villain. He expressed his frustration with Subash Ghai saying what was narrated to him was not being shot. Subhash and Danny agreed to not work together.
