Gollum cries three times in this movie. First, when he loses the game of riddles, after Bilbo says, "Two guesses at once, wrong both times." Gollum whimpers in defeat as he lands on his side. The second time was when he realizes that he has lost the One Ring, wailing "My precious is lost!" When Bilbo asks him what he has lost, and Gollum turns towards him momentarily, his eyes are red, due to crying. The third, and final time he cries in the movie, was when Bilbo, wearing the ring, invisible, is about to kill him, Gollum sheds a tear. This is the only movie that shows Gollum shedding a tear.
