The plane Kayla pilots is an Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar. This is likely an homage to the the same type of plane being featured in the classic 1960s film, The Flight of the Phoenix, which starred Jurassic Park alum Richard Attenborough (Dr. John Hammond). The aircraft in Flight of the Phoenix was a Fairchild C-82 Packet, not a C-119.
