There were two characters who were physically portrayed by one person and vocally portrayed by another at the same time. The first was the ghost of Jeremiah Collins. He was physically portrayed by Timothy Gordon and vocally portrayed by Addison Powell during the 1795 storyline, and one episode in a present-day storyline. The second was the Head of Judah Zachary. He was physically portrayed by Michael McGuire and vocally portrayed by Keene Curtis during the 1840 storyline.
